Work with Me

I am an interiors writer, stylist, designer, blogger and content creator with a considered approach to design. I spent several years as an interiors journalist, writing about homes for publications including the Telegraph Magazine, Guardian Weekend, Sunday Times Style, Stella, Red and The Simple Things and my book Creative Living London is published by Thames and Hudson and available globally.

Experience and care

I started blogging in 2008 and have recently returned from a five year break during which I had a second child, founded a social enterprise and renovated our first family home, to relaunch my blog with a focus on sustainability and wellbeing.

Sensitive and Conscientious

My background as a social worker has helped me to develop a deep understanding of the many ways home is at the centre of our holistic wellbeing, and I carefully curate good design that is calming, nurturing and uplifting. I also believe in being socially responsible in my choices and I try to support brands that are socially and environmentally responsible too.

Inspiring and Creative

My audience follows me for inspiration about how to create a stylishly sustainable home; clear and accessible information about working in harmony with nature and biophilic design; my compassionate and responsible messaging about social issues and my friendly and accessible tone.

Provenance, sustainability, kindness and wellbeing are important to me and I love connecting with like-minded brands, independent shops and designers who share these values.

I photograph all products in my own home, which is decorated with vintage and contemporary furniture and props collected during my years as a stylist, that lend themselves to beautiful photography; my writing is informed, engaging and friendly in tone.

I believe that our homes should tell our story, nurture and support us and have minimal impact on the environment.

Interior design consultancy

I am a trained interior decorator, and trained at KLC School of Design in London in Interior Decoration. I design sustainably, giving thought to biophilic design principles, sustainability and using vintage wherever possible. I can also source vintage furnishings and art on request.

I also offer an e-design service, producing bespoke moodboards and shopping lists as required. Please contact me to discuss your needs.
